Repairing decay, keeping the tooth
When decay breaches the enamel it won't heal on its own, but caught early, the fix is simple. We remove only the decayed portion, then rebuild the tooth with composite resin matched to its natural shade, sculpted and polished until it vanishes into your smile.
Because composite bonds to tooth structure, we can be far more conservative than the old amalgam days: smaller preparations, more of your own tooth preserved, and no grey metal showing when you laugh.
Replacing old metal fillings
Old amalgam fillings don't need automatic replacement, but when one cracks, leaks or the tooth around it breaks down, we can replace it with a bonded composite or, for larger repairs, a stronger CAD/CAM onlay or crown. Your dentist will recommend the option that will last longest, not the biggest one.
